Hi Everyone!! So I finally got my Food Blog up and running! I'm really excited and I hope I can keep up with it!! I love reading other peoples' food blogs and I hope those of you reading like mine too!

My first post brings you Cinnamon Donut Muffins! I don't remember where I found the recipe, I just had it printed out in my recipe box, but after looking on Allrecipes.com and TasteofHome.com, there are lots of variations of these out there!

Here's what we start with:

First, add all of your dry ingredients to one large bowl:

Add your wet ingredients to another bowl:

Gradually add your wet ingredients to your dry:

Mix by hand until just combined. It's very important that you don't over-mix or your muffins will be chewy:

Line your cupcake/muffin pan with paper liners:

Fill liners about 2/3rds full of batter and bake at 350* for 20-25 minutes (Mine were done at 21):

While baking, melt 1/2 cup butter and prepare your cinnamon sugar mix for dipping:

Take muffins out of the oven and carefully remove the wrappers:

Dip the muffins in the butter:

Then dip them in the cinnamon sugar mixture:

All finished! This recipe made 12 muffins:

Try not to eat the whole pan by yourself, lol!:

Cinnamon Donut Muffins
In a large bowl, combine:
  • 1 3/4 cup flour
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp. cinnamon

    In another bowl, combine:
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 C. oil
  • 3/4 C. milk

Add wet ingredients to dry, and stir only to combine (do not over mix!). Fill muffin tins 2/3 full and bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes.

Meanwhile, melt 1/2 cup butter and set aside. Combine 3/4 cup sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon in another bowl and set aside.

Take muffins out, and while they’re still hot, dip in melted margarine and then in cinnamon sugar mixture. Eat and enjoy!
